Tara Rios is a general dentist in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center in 1997. Dr. Rios completed a Forensic Odontology Fellowship in 2001 where she worked with the New York City Medical Examiners Office helping identification of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack. Dr. Rios has a long history of civic involvement serving both as a local and state community advocate. Dr. Rios was elected to the Texas House of Representatives where she created legislation ranging from victim protection laws to biosecurity enhancement of the border region. Dr. Rios received honors for her commitment to Public Health and has performed volunteer dental work in Mexico and through local dental vouchers.
Our Brownsville TX dental office is proud to have Dr. Diana Cabrera join our team. Dr. Cabrera is a highly-qualified dentist that has studied in Universities throughout the country. She has received many awards for her hard work, and has been practicing dentistry since July of 2010.
Dr. Cabrera received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2006 from the University at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii. She then continued on with her education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Iowa City, Iowa, and there she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2010.
Interestingly, Dr. Cabrera has a State Dental License in both Texas and Colorado. From 2007-2010, while attending the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, she received the Dean's Leadership Award. In 2010, she was also awarded the Certificate of Exellence in Dentistry for the Elderly. In 2009, she was awarded with the Jerry Walker Scholarship.
